Does crashing weddings work in real life?

I crashed a wedding at a bar / restaurant once. I was bar hopping and it was unintentional. Everyone was having a good time and talking to me. I have had to improvise in life and this was 100% on the spot experience. I also felt like Sandra Bullock in While You Were Sleeping. I just wanted to be a part of something for a moment. When I realized where I was at I thought, “Why the hell not?”

I remember interesting conversations with people who I never would have talked to otherwise, I made up stories, we were high school friends or something. I didn’t even know the names of the bride and groom. Someone realized I wasn’t a guest when I didn’t know their name and I exited gracefully (practically ran out of the building). It was fun until that part. I wouldn’t do it again.
